Love, the one word of unity, strength and trust. February was the month of celebrating this auspicious occassion. The lover’s day the so called Valentine’s Day was celebrated by Aaratrika with a cultural program named as “VALOBASHA ” on 22 nd February at Surya Sen Mancha.
The day was celebrated with the presentation of some special Tagore songs, recitations and dance performance with various cultural performers of singing and recitation. Emminent singer Alivia Chatterjee Lahiri, whose brain child is “Aaratrika Musical Society”, presented two solo Rabindra Sangeet performances and also a semi classical song with her husband Avijit Lahiri.
The more or less thirty members of Aaratrika came up with different performance on the day to share the essence of love in our heart. As Alivia stated “Love is God and love is music”, the message and spirit of love was propagated through some ashtounding and mesmerising perormance of the artists. Nandini Laha and Mou Sengupta anchored the entire program in a manner then heightened the spirit of the program. While others like Bidipta chatterjee, Mou Sengupta, Haimanti pal, Chitra Adhikary, Sudeshna Chaudhary and several others performed to the tune of love.
Aaratrika will also be organizing their next cultural program Bosonto Utsab on 27th march at Gallery Gold auditorium South Kolkata.
